OUR FOOTPRINT

A carbon footprint means the greenhouse gases including carbon dioxide and methane that are generated by our actions.

The average carbon footprint for a person in the United States is 16 tons and it is 12 tons in South Korea, one of the highest rates in the world.

Globally, the average carbon footprint is closer to 4 tons.

To have the best chance of avoiding a 2℃ rise in global temperatures, the average global carbon footprint per year needs to drop to under 2 tons by 2050.

Our business model is focused on on reducing, reusing, recycling and removing carbon from the environment.

BIODIVERSITY LOSS

Biodiversity refers to the variety of life on earth at all its levels and it is both fascinating and fundamental to life as we know it.

How these species and dynamic ecosystems interact and evolve continues to inspire us and

are beyond some of the greatest innovations in the modern world. But the rate at which biodiversity is declining is troubling and we are running out of time to reverse its loss.

Climate change and biodiversity are interlinked and as our carbon footprints increase, we say good-bye to more animals and plants.

OUR INSPIRATION FOR DESIGN

animal_Faces_square.png

Nature is indeed at the core of fashion, providing the materials we need to produce the goods and in many cases the inspiration for design.

Protecting biodiversity is in our best interest of our business and we believe that giving back to nature means playing an active role in protecting, preserving, restoring and regenerating.

Our goal is currently set for emission reduction by recycling and up-cycling the materials that used to go straight into waste and to produce eco-friendly goods with the design that helps us understand and address our impact on nature.

We want to save more ‘paws’ in nature whilst reducing our own ‘footprints.’

OUR INSPIRATION FOR RAW MATERIALS

Most business, if not all, in the world rests on the availability of raw materials, which are produced by ecosystems around the world.

This means our business relies upon healthy, functioning ecosystems and biodiversity.

Maintaining the biodiversity of our planet is vitally important to combatting climate change.

We see the ‘waste’ as an opportunity as sourcing strategies can take biodiversity into consideration and build awareness to appreciate ‘circular economy.’

SDG(Sustainable Development Goals)

As a circular brand, Pawbulous Design Studio makes sure to carry out our business within our sustainable goals: UN SDGs #12 Responsible Consumption and Production, #13 Climate Action, #14 Life Below Water and #15 Life on Land. We understand that biodiversity loss is one of the biggest threats facing humanity. As such we want to be part of the solution and as a business, we want to make sure that we start with raw materials from waste and produce the products in environmentally-friendly ways to lower the impact on biodiversity and simultaneously lower our dependency on natural resources.
